YOUTH INTRO TO AERIAL
This class is geared towards the beginning student! We will be working on developing foundation skills on three different aerial apparatus including silks, hammock, and lyra (also known as the aerial hoop). These classes are meant to be progressive with a huge focus on safety, strength, and flexibility to foster proper technique and confidence in a fun, group atmosphere.
*THIS IS A PREREQUISITE CLASS FOR ALL OTHER AERIAL ARTS CLASSES*
Prerequisite: Completion of Intro Aerial
In this level, students have completed the introductory courses and have a basic understanding of aerial movements. They can complete introductory movements sufficiently and are able to work on developing technical skills, flexibility, more complex beginning movements and endurance for small sequences. Partnering begins to get introduced.
Prerequisite: Completion of Level 1 Aerial
Students have completed level 1 and are able to work on more complex movements, more complex partnering, longer sequences and are at a beginning intermediate level. These students begin to have the ability to opt in for performance class and performance opportunities. Drops begin to get introduced. art or test out of Level 1 to attend this class.
Prerequisite: Completion of Level 2 Aerial
Students in this level are true intermediate students. They have a complex understanding of movements and the strength to stay on the fabric for long periods of time. They are continually working on flexibility and intricate sequences or movements. These students begin to have the ability to opt in for performance class and performance opportunities. Partnering and drops are more frequently developed during class.
